Verse of the Week

Hello again and welcome in the name of Jesus Christ!

I would like to take a moment and offer a verse to think about for this week.....

Philippians 4:6-7 "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known unto God: and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guide your hearts and minds through Jesus Christ."

Isn't that an amazing couple of verses! I italicized "with thanksgiving" because this part of the verse is a great reminder to thank God for all He has done when we pray. It is very important that we give God all of the credit for the wonderful things He has done for mankind and for what He has done for each of us individually.

Of course, I cannot forget the topic of the passage. "Be anxious for nothing" but pray and give thanks and "the peace of God" will guide our "hearts and minds through Jesus Christ". If we are nervous, scared or frightened, our God in heaven will give us peace and comfort through His Son Jesus Christ. All we have to do is pray and believe in this promise from God, believe that He will take our burdens, fears and insecurities and conquer them for us. We know this because it is written in John 16:33: "These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world." - Jesus Christ

So pray, give thanks, be of good cheer and have a great week! God Bless you all!
